Maggie has found a forever home

Maggie will be 11 years young in November 2011 and SHE IS CAT SAFE when she learns who HER kitties are.  She is a spayed female that is up to date on vaccinations, is heart worm negative, and just had a dental done.  She is a VERY vibrant and healthy senior who gets along well with other large to medium dogs.  The foster home does not have small dogs to see how she would react to them but with supervision and a proper introduction in an experienced sighthound home, she would likely do well with smaller dogs.  Maggie is an owner turn in due to the economy and no fault of Maggie’s own that she is with NBRF.  Maggie lived with a cat in her previous home and while the owner wished to surrender the cat to go with Maggie, the foster home was afraid that her personal dogs would eat the uneducated cat so that cat had to stay behind!

Maggie is leashed trained, crate trained, loves to go for walks and ride in cars and/or vans.  She likes both men and women and is not scared of new situations.  She does like her breakfast and dinners on time and if you are running behind she will remind you with a low “woof” and a tap dance.  She loves a soft bed and is quite willing and happy to lie on a couch if one is available.  Maggie is an excellent companion, loves to be petted, but is not needy

This senior girl is looking for a home with a soft bed, warm heart, kind hands and lots of love.  If you are interested in adopting Maggie, please fill out our adoption application and email it to Carol Backers at   cbackers.nbrf@gmail.com
