Hi Lady from China here, I have come a long way since the Borzoi Angel spotted me and brought me to the attention of some wonderful humans who rescued me from the meat trade. Guess what! !   I am almost ready for my furever home.  I am looking for someone who wants to accompany me on this exciting journey of becoming the dog I was meant to be.  My foster Mom says that I am very smart and sweet and if she wasn’t at her limit, she would keep me.   Currently I am living with 2 greyhounds and another Borzoi – we don’t really interact too much, I mean we get along ok, it’s just that I am only now learning what it means to be a dog.  I think it might be good for me if my new home had another dog that could teach me the ropes.

I’ve been here less than a month and already I have learned how to go outside to go potty or to let someone know when I need to go out, and I am getting really good at walking on a leash.  I have my crate and know that it is a safe space for me, I eat my meals in there, cause sometimes I like to help the slowpokes finish their meals. I love people,  even the small ones.  I haven’t been around any small animals so I don’t know how I would do with them, better not to take any chances.  I am very sweet and gentle and I love attention – it is something I have not had before and I am always ready for a pat or a scratch and am happy to thank you with a kiss or a wag of my tail.  I can’t get enough, I think I might be what they call a velcro dog.  I do need someone that is willing to work with me to get me in shape, because I spent my life in a small cage, I don’t have much muscle- so I need someone who is committed to taking me for walks to build me up.   If someone has room in their heart and their pack for a 5 year old who is ready to take the next step in her new life, please go to www.nbrf.org and click on the application link and send it to Vickinbrf@gmail.com, or if you already have an application on file and are interested in Lady, please send an email to Vicki as well.

P.S. THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you that contributed to my fundraiser, we are still a bit short of our goal, so if you find any extra pennies lying around and you want to send them my way, they will be greatly appreciated.

Love,
Lady
